The Grizzled Veteran is a Miscellaneous medal awarded by Valve to the Team Fortress 2 community as part of their 119th Update Celebration. It appears as a gold, rectangular medal worn on the class's chest, not unlike the Gentle Manne's Service Medal. The Grizzled Veteran medal is awarded to players who bought and played Team Fortress 2 within 3 months of its initial release.

Trivia

  • This item is given out to users who first played Team Fortress 2 from 00:00 October 10, 2007 (UTC) to 23:59 January 9, 2008 (UTC).
  • The Grizzled Veteran was originally given out to players who participated in the Team Fortress 2 beta, however, these players were later awarded the Primeval Warrior medal instead.
  • Name Tags could not be used on this medal until the November 19, 2010 Patch.
