The Détective Noir is a community-created cosmetic item for the Spy. It is a team-colored stereotypical 1930s detective hat adorned with a beige, brown and black diagonally striped sash.
This item was originally created in the Fancy vs. Nasty Update and since then, has been officially added to the game.

Painted variants

Due to how the textures are set up, painting the Détective Noir with single color Paint Cans results in different colorization on the paint regions between teams.

December 17, 2010 Patch (Australian Christmas)
- The Détective Noir was added to the game.
- The Détective Noir was added to the Mann Co. Store, made craftable and included in random drops.
- The paint texture was improved.
Bugs
