Max's Severed Head is a promotional headwear item, wearable by all classes. It is the eponymous Max's head with his jaw removed, giving the appearance of him biting on the wearer's head. The ears swing in motion.
This hat was awarded to players who bought Sam & Max: The Devil's Playhouse within the first week of its release.
In addition to the hat, two weapons were also released as part of the promotion; the Lugermorph (a pistol for the Scout and Engineer), and the Big Kill (a revolver for the Spy).
