The Heartwarming Headache is an unreleased headwear item for all classes. It is a small, spider-like alien that sits on the player's head. It bears resemblance to the Headcrab from the Half-Life series.
Taunting with this item equipped while an enemy is nearby will cause the headhumper to jump to the nearest enemy player's head, instantly killing him. The headhumper will then happily jump and return to its owner's head.
The Heartwarming Headache was contributed to the Steam Workshop.
Update history
- [Undocumented] Heartwarming Headache was added to the game files.
Trivia
- The origin of the name comes from an old (now closed) Jewish bakery in Seattle, which had supplied cookies for Valve Christmas parties. The cookies themselves had ample amounts of brandy baked into them, making them huge hits with the developers, and leading to the name "Heartwarming Headache."
