The Das Naggenvatcher is a community-created hat for the Medic. This hat is a stylized form of a WWI German Stahlhelm with an added steel brow plate (or Stirnpanzer). These were issued to sentries, snipers and machinegunners from 1916 until 1918. A Stahlhelm on its own can deflect bullets only at steep angles. The Stirnpanzer is used in conjunction with the Grabenpanzer, or in TF2, the Das Metalmeatencasen.

The Das Naggenvatcher was contributed to the Steam Workshop under the name "Bro Plate".
