The Das Naggenvatcher is a community-created hat for the Medic. This hat is a stylized form of a WWI German Stahlhelm with an added steel brow plate (or Stirnpanzer). These were issued to sentries, snipers and machinegunners from 1916 until 1918. A Stahlhelm on its own can deflect bullets only at steep angles. The Stirnpanzer is used in conjunction with the Infantrie-panzer, or in TF2, the Das Metalmeatencasen.
The Das Naggenvatcher was contributed to the Steam Workshop under the name "Bro Plate".
