Trivia

• The development/skin version of this hat was named "Pilot's Protector" before Valve renamed it.
• While the hat's design resembles a 20th century aviator's cap, the Bombing Run is actually modeled off a contemporary Italian tanker helmet. This was confirmed by the hat's maker, Drax-Quin.
• This hat was originally released in Royzo's TF2 Emporium XX
• Originally, this hat was also for the Soldier, and was known as the Tanker's Helm.
• This hat is similar to a piece of TF2 concept art. [1]
