The Headtaker's Hood is a community-created cosmetic item for the Demoman. It is a team-colored executioner's hood with a crude white paint splatter in the form of a skull. The left eye-hole is stitched up; a blood-like liquid appears to be seeping through the fabric around the stitches. The loose material over the chin, and on the back of the head move with the Demoman.
This item can only be worn around Halloween or during a Full Moon; at other times of the year, it does not appear in gameplay, unless the server has Halloween mode enabled. However, it can be equipped at any time and can still be viewed on the loadout screen even when it is not visible during games.
The Headtaker's Hood was contributed to the Steam Workshop.
