The Blighted Beak is a community-created miscellaneous item for the Medic and was released as a part of the Australian Christmas update. It appears as a bird-like mask that is styled directly after the primitive respirators historically worn by Template:W. Unlike the primitive respirators, the bottom of the Blighted Beak is hollowed out, exposing the Medic's mouth and nose.

A fix for the clipping of a majority of the hats has been sent to Valve who said that they will fix it come the new year.[2]
Trivia
- This mask, worn extensively by apothecaries during the Template:W, was used as both a means of role identification and as a method of respiration to help protect the wearer from airborne infections, with the beaks often containing different medicinal mixtures.
- A number of people obtained unusual versions of the beak from Festive Winter Crates. It is therefore possible for people wearing these to have 2 unusual effects on their head by wearing an unusual hat at the same time. This is also true for Le Party Phantom.
