The Particulate Protector is a community-created cosmetic item for all classes, except the Pyro. It is a paintable team-colored, disposable surgical mask.
This item has two styles, named "Hat" and "No Hat". The "Hat" style keeps the class' default headgear, while the "No Hat" style removes it.
The Particulate Protector was contributed to the Steam Workshop.

Update history
December 3, 2020 Patch (Smissmas 2020)
- The Particulate Protector was added to the game.
Notes
- Using the Waterlogged Lab Coat paint on this item provides absolutely no visual difference in-game on either team. This happens because the exact same color values are used for both the paint and the item's default "unpainted" color.
Bugs
- The BLU variation of this item does not show its proper colors, and instead use the RED team's textures and unpainted color.
