The Particulate Protector is a community-created cosmetic item for all classes except Pyro. It is a disposable surgical mask.
This item has two styles, named "Hat" and "No Hat". The "Hat" style keeps the class' default headgear, while the "No Hat" style removes it.

Update history
December 3, 2020 Patch (Smissmas 2020)
- The Particulate Protector was added to the game.
Bugs
- Due to an error on the Item schema, this item has no visual differences between teams, despite each team having different materials, textures and unpainted colors. This happens because the strings
"skin_red" "0"
and"skin_blu" "1"
are missing on both Particulate Protector's styles on the Item schema, which are necessary in order to show proper team-colors for cosmetics with styles.- Painting the Particulate Protector with team color Paint Cans will show the proper colors from said Paint Can depending on the team, however, the unpaintable parts of the mask will still use the RED team's texture as a base, regardless of the team.
