The Companion Cube Pin, also known as the Portal 2 Pin, is a miscellaneous item for all classes. It depicts a team colored portal and a floating Weighted Companion Cube from the Valve game Template:W.

  • A Vintage Companion Cube Pin was given to a play-tester of Portal 2 at PAX 2010, prior to the item's official release.[1] The item can be seen here.
  • Player Vulcnor, upon winning a charity auction for Child's Play, received a unique version of the Companion Cube Pin.
  • The item's model name (p2_pin.mdl) and items_game.txt reference name ("Portal 2 Pin") allude to the item being released in connection with the Valve game Portal 2.
