Trivia
- The Template:W was also referred to as the Tin Helmet or Doughboy helmet. Less affectionately, it was called a Shrapnel Helmet for its tendency to break when hit by a bullet. The hat was famous during the World Wars, in both of which the Allies used the Brodie Helmet.
- The description references the hat's origins. The hat itself is visible on the Human Commando player model from the early "Invasion" version of Team Fortress 2, as well as the files that were leaked in 2003 with Half-Life 2's source code.
