The Big Elfin Deal is a headwear item for the Scout. It is a pointy green Template:W hat, which takes the style of the stereotypical Elf hat commonly associated with the festive period, as well as a set of pointy ears.
It was originally called "Elf Hat" when it was contributed to the Steam Workshop but was changed by Valve before implementation into the game.

- The name, "Big Elfin Deal", is a pun on the colloquial phrase, "Big Effing Deal".
- The item description is a joke based on the elf Hermey from the 1960's TV special Template:W who aspired to become a dentist.
