The Bombing Run is an unlockable headwear item for the Scout.
Trivia
- The Bombing Run can most notably be referenced from the Unreal-Tournament series (2003 onwards) gamemode, Bombing Run, whose goal was to take the ball, run through enemy territory, and bring the ball back to the base; much like Team Fortress 2's very own intelligence based, Capture the Flag.
- Its name and description coupled may also be a reference to Left 4 Dead 2. During the game's intro movie, Rochelle (one of the survivors) is seen frantically yelling on a hand radio "stop the bombing run!" to the military, in order for them to make the planes stop dropping bombs from above them.
- Similar headgears were worn by aviators in World War II who were tasked for aerial bombings. A more modern design is being utilized today.
