Ellis' Cap is a promotional headwear item given to players who purchased Left 4 Dead 2 before October 7, 2010. The hat features a tow truck design on it, it is a reference to the hat worn by Ellis, a character from Valve's zombie shooter franchise, Template:W. This is the second Left 4 Dead related hat in Team Fortress 2 that is available for all classes, the first being Bill's Hat. As with many other promotional items, this hat is not usable in crafting.

Trivia
- On the front of the hat is the emblem of Ellis' repair garage.
- There is a bug where Ellis' Cap and the Frying Pan won´t drop for players who own the censored version of L4D2(Germany/Australia)
- There is also a bug where copies of L4D2 acquired within a week from the official expiring date for the hats would still drop Ellis' cap.
