Trivia
- Team Fortress Classic's original Medic model appears to be wearing a procedure mask.
- Procedure Masks are worn during any form of surgical procedure to prevent spreading infectious bacteria or viruses onto an open wound, as well as preventing bodily fluids from splashing into the mouth.
- As far as crafting is concerned, the Physician's Procedure Mask is considered to be a hat, despite actually being a Miscellaneous item. The mask can be crafted like a hat can, and is accepted as an ingredient for the "Rebuild Headgear" crafting recipe.
- This item is one of two contributed items made by Gerre, the other being the Sergeant's Drill Hat.
- According to Gerre, this item took about a half-hour to complete.
- The Physician's Procedure Mask is the only Miscellaneous Item that can be painted.
- This item is commonly referred to as the 'Medic Mask'. This can be confused with the Medic Mask, which is a halloween restricted hat.
