The Détective Noir is a community-created cosmetic item for the Spy. It is a team-colored stereotypical 1930s detective hat adorned with a beige, brown and black diagonally striped sash.
This item was originally created in the Fancy vs. Nasty Update and since has been officially added to the game.

- The Détective Noir was added to the game.
- The Détective Noir was added to the Mann Co. Store, made craftable and included in random drops.
- The paint texture was improved.
Notes
- Due to how the textures are set up, painting the Détective Noir with single color Paint Cans will result in different colorization between teams.
Bugs
- The backpack icon still shows the old paint texture prior to the December 21, 2010 Patch.
