The Horrific Headsplitter is an all class hat released with the 2010 Hallowe'en update. It appears as a cleaver embedded in the class's skull with blood pouring from the wound. It can be purchased from the Mann Co. Store only during the Scream Fortress event, running between the 27th of October and the 8th of November 2010. It also has a 1 in 4 chance of being crafted if an Unusual Haunted Metal Scrap is used alongside 4 Refined Metal. This hat was contributed by Treythepunkid.[[1]]
Trivia
- This hat was released in TF2 Emporium XXIV, under the same name, as a skin replacement for the Ghastly Gibus. It was accepted by Valve after it was sent in via the Contribute! website.
- This hat is most likely a homage to the Slasher genre of horror films, with Halloween, ironically, being one of those movies.
