The Blighted Beak is a community-created headwear item for the Medic. It appears as a bird-like mask that is styled directly after the primitive respirators historically worn by Template:W.
Trivia
- Before it was officially added in the game it was released as a skin replacing the Physician's Procedure Mask by Pie_Tony and Communist Cake in the TF2 Mod Emporium at Facepunch forums.
- During the time of the bubonic plague, doctors wore masks similar to this to protect themselves from airborne diseases.
- The mask can also be seen worn by the Splicers in the game BioShock, the same game that the Medic's Vita-Saw is from.
