The License to Maim is a promotional Miscellaneous item wearable by all classes. It appears as the Freelance Police badge used by the characters Sam and Max, which is a gold badge with the words "Sam & Max Freelance Police" and a number one engraved upon it. A blue star with the scales of justice also appear centered on the badge.

The badge is awarded alongside the Lugermorph after defeating Max during a round of Template:W in which he has bought in with the two items instead of cash.

Bugs

• If killed while wearing it, the item's skin will change to the Grizzled Veteran badge.

Trivia

• While Max is generally considered number two of the Freelance Police, the badge has the number one on it, which may indicate that he obtained it from Sam for the wager.
• The License to Maim is a play on the character James Bond's License to Kill.
• This item and the Lugermorph are collectively known in Poker Night as the Crimestomper Combo.
