The Catcher's Companion is a community-created cosmetic item for the Scout. It is a small bird which perches on the Scout's right shoulder. The BLU variant resembles a blue jay, and the RED variant resembles a male northern cardinal.
This item has two styles, named "Default" and "Hat". The "Hat" style gives the bird a team-colored baseball cap.
When players equipped with this item kill an enemy unassisted by another player, the killfeed shows everyone in Pyroland that it gets the assist, with its custom name if it has one.
The Catcher's Companion was contributed to the Steam Workshop.
