The Rimmed Raincatcher is a community-created cosmetic item for the Demoman. It is a team-colored tricorne with large, gold-trimmed brims. The crown has a darker, worn team color, and the back of the flaps is black.

Due to how the textures are set up, painting the Rimmed Raincatcher with single color Paint Cans results in different colorization on the paint regions between teams.

September 30, 2010 Patch (Mann-Conomy Update)
- [Undocumented] The Tippler's Tricorne model was accidentally switched with the Rimmed Raincatcher model.
- The Rimmed Raincatcher was added correctly to the game.
- The Rimmed Raincatcher's painting texture was improved.
- Added the Rimmed Raincatcher to the list of Unusual hats.
- [Undocumented] The Rimmed Raincatcher was added to the Mann Co. Store.
Trivia
- With the Mann-Conomy Update's release, an asset managing error occurred. This caused the Rimmed Raincatcher's model and texture to replace those of the Tippler's Tricorne. After noticing the error, Valve decided to add the Rimmed Raincatcher as a separate item and it was added to the item drop system, but not yet added to the game files. Due to this, any player that managed to find the Raincatcher from a hat drop, or crafting result, would have an "Unknown Item" displayed in one of the online backpack viewers. This was shortly resolved as part of the October 6, 2010 Patch, which restored the Tippler's Tricorne to its original model and texture and added the Rimmed Raincatcher as a separate item to the game files.
- This hat is commonly known to build up and redirect rain water from the wearer's face, as the name suggests.
