The Grizzled Veteran is a cosmetic item for all classes awarded by Valve to the Team Fortress 2 community as part of their 119th Update Celebration, as well as the Primeval Warrior, Soldier of Fortune and Mercenary. It is a gold, rectangular medal worn on the class's chest. The Grizzled Veteran was given out to those who first played Team Fortress 2 between October 10, 2007, 00:00 UTC, to January 9, 2008, 23:59 UTC.

  • The Grizzled Veteran was added to the game.

May 5, 2010 Patch

  • Grizzled Veteran badges from before October 10th, 2007 were changed to Primeval Warrior badges

May 7, 2010 Patch

  • Badge hire dates now display the time in GMT.

  • The item description was written by SappinMySentry for the Hat Describing Contest.
