Update history
- The Five-Month Shadow was added to the game.
Trivia
- The item's name is a play on the term "five o'clock shadow", the stubble on a man's face that grows during the day.
- The design of the beard, and publicity blurb, is a reference to MacReady, the main character, and the final scene in The Thing respectively; after destroying their base with explosives as a last resort, MacReady, and fellow best friend, Childs, both exhausted, and with virtually no hope of survival, now acknowledge the futility of their distrust, sharing a bottle of scotch as their camp burns.
