Trivia
- This item was shown on the first day of the Classless Update, but was not mentioned by name until the update was released.
- Before the Mann-Conomy Update, Baseball Bill's Sports Shine was not displayed in the "Inspect" target window after cycling through a player's equipped items using the "Inspect" key even though it is a hat.
- A Scout with no hat was shown in some concept art of Team Fortress 2.
