- Prancer is one of Santa Claus's reindeer named in the poem Template:W (also known as The Night Before Christmas).
- Its appearance is a reference to the character Max from the book Template:W by Template:W. Max, the Grinch's dog, had a single antler tied to his head with a string when the Grinch disguised him as one of Santa's reindeer.
