The Grizzled Veteran is a cosmetic item for all classes. It is a gold, rectangular medal with the current class's emblem worn on their chest.

The Grizzled Veteran was awarded by Valve to the Team Fortress 2 community as part of their 119th Update Celebration, as well as the Primeval Warrior, Soldier of Fortune and Mercenary. It was given out to those who first played Team Fortress 2 from 00:00 October 10, 2007 (UTC), to 23:59 January 9, 2008 (UTC).

The item's description was written by SappinMySentry for the Hat Describing Contest.

  • The Grizzled Veteran was added to the game.

May 5, 2010 Patch

  • Grizzled Veteran badges from before October 10th, 2007 were changed to Primeval Warrior badges.
