The Ghastlier Gibus is an unlockable headgear, wearable by all classes. It is an upgraded version of the Ghastly Gibus that appears less dusty and features a black stripe near the tab, adorned with a white badge similar to the Horseless Headless Horsemann's belt buckle.
This hat was awarded to those players who earned the Ghastly Gibus before Scream Fortress update. Their Ghastly Gibus - or Gibuses, if they obtained two - were upgraded to this item. Unlike other Halloween items, the Ghastlier Gibus can be worn all year round.
Currently, the only way to acquire a Ghastlier Gibus is through trade. Unlike its counterpart, the Ghastly Gibus, The Ghastlier Gibus can no longer be awarded through the achievement Ghastly Gibus Grab.
The Ghastlier Gibus' style can be set to either have the white badge or the original Ghastly Gibus look.
