Trivia
- The hat is a possible reference to Jayne, the big, gun-toting mercenary in Joss Whedon's series, Firefly, and the subsequent movie, Serenity. Like the Heavy, Jayne personifies everything it means to be a "tough guy", and has even given a name to his favorite gun, Vera. Also like the Heavy, Jayne acquires a knitted cap of much the same style, of which he is irrepressibly proud.
- This pom-pom topped style of toque is sometimes referred to as a sherpa.
- This hat is actually a tuque, which is a general name for a knitted cap used by many people in cold places. A toque is a hat with a narrow brim or no brim at all, like a cook's hat.
- When colored with a paint can the orange area of the hat changes to whichever color of paint used. The team colored section remains the same.
- After the Mann-Conomy update was released, the BLU team texture was changed to a shade of teal. This is probably a side-effect of the implementation of hat colors.
