Trivia
- The hat is very similar to one worn by the character Jayne: the big, gun-toting mercenary in Joss Whedon's series, Firefly, and the subsequent movie, Serenity. Like the Heavy, Jayne personifies everything it means to be a "tough guy", and has even given a name to his favorite gun, Vera. Also like the Heavy, Jayne acquires a knitted cap of much the same style, of which he is irrepressibly proud.
- This pom-pom topped style of toque is sometimes referred to as a sherpa.
- After the Mann-Conomy update was released, the BLU team texture was changed to a shade of teal. This is probably a side-effect of the implementation of hat colors. This was then fixed on the October 6, 2010 patch.
- The hat description was written by FarazParsa, and was extended by Valve.
