Trivia
- The hatless Sniper was seen in a scene from Meet the Sniper. This was most probably because wearing a hat while brushing your teeth is considered impractical, rather than being a deliberate nod to the (as of then) unreleased item.
- This is one of three 'hatless' hats with the others being Texas Slim's Dome Shine and Baseball Bill's Sports Shine.
- The Sniper's head can be briefly seen without acquiring the item by taunting with the Kukri, Tribalman's Shiv or Bushwacka with his standard hat or another hat (other than the Master's Yellow Belt) equipped. When taunting with Ritzy Rick's Hair Fixative, the Master's Yellow Belt, the Ghastly Gibus, the Mann Co. Cap, or Max's Severed Head equipped, the Sniper will continue to act as if he is holding his hat when instead holding thin air.
- Before the Mann-Conomy Update, Ritzy Rick's Hair Fixative was not displayed in the "Inspect" target window after cycling through a player's equipped items using the "Inspect" key, even though it is a hat.
