The Special Eyes is a community-created cosmetic item for the Engineer. It replaces the lenses of the Engineer's default goggles with a pair of team-colored, glowing, paintable ones. It also adds top and bottom metal covers to each lens, making them resemble squinted eyes. The covers can rotate, open and close in order to match the Engineer's expression.
The Special Eyes was contributed to the Steam Workshop.

Trivia
- The name of this item and its original description reference a 1-800 Contacts company commercial, in which a man states that he has "special eyes".
- This item was submitted with two styles. While one of them was confirmed, another one (which removed the bottom covers of the lenses) was left out due to the limitations of the item importer tool.
