The Sole Mate is a community-created cosmetic item for the Pyro. It is a paintable green fish that is positioned on top of the Pyro's head with its mouth closed around it, as if it is trying to eat the Pyro's head. The tail and back of the fish jiggle with the Pyro's movements.
The Sole Mate was contributed to the Steam Workshop.

Trivia
- A play on the term soul mate, the fish itself does not resemble an actual sole fish, a group of flat fish; but, in coloration and form, it resembles a largemouth bass, an iconic North American game fish.
