The Troublemaker's Tossle Cap is a community-created headwear item for the Scout. The hat was chosen by Valve to be released with the first wave of community-contributed content due to its outstanding quality. It appears as a slightly baggy winter cap, also known as a beanie.
The hat description was written by spam_word for the Hat Describing Contest.

Previous Changes
- The paint scheme for this hat was reversed so that the stripes are now the original color, and the rest of the hat's hue changes. The previous scheme added colored stripes to the team colored cap.
- The paint scheme of the hat was changed so that the hat is completely colored instead of striped.
Trivia
- The beanie is sometimes associated with "gang bangers" and youth criminals, most often in urban areas such as New York, Los Angeles, and Boston; Boston being the place where the Scout is from.
- This hat was submitted under the name of the "Rapper's Hat" before Valve renamed it the "Troublemaker's Tossle Cap". [1]
- The item description is a reference to Straight Outta Compton, an album and song by hip-hop group N.W.A.
