— Fancy Vs. Nasty update description

The Coupe D'isaster is a community-created headwear item for the Heavy and was released as a part of the Australian Christmas update. It appears as a badly-done black Toupée, hence the reference to disaster in its name.

Trivia

  • Before being officially included in-game during the Australian Christmas event, the Coupe D'isaster was released as a downloadable skin in the Fancy vs. Nasty Update created by Mister Royzo.
  • Coupe means cut in French and may be a pun on "haircut" as the item is a hairpiece.
  • The name may be a pun on "coup d'état", a French term meaning the sudden and illegitimate overthrow of a government, usually by the military.
  • The name could also be a reference to the other French term "coup de grâce", a death blow intended to end the suffering of a wounded creature or a defeated/helpless opponent.
