The Heavy

The Big Chief is a headwear item for the Heavy and was released as a part of the Australian Christmas update. It appears as a Native American Template:W, with the Team Fortress logo on its sides. Viewing this hat from behind shows that it has a brown backplate. Although the headdress is shown in media and bundled with the The Hibernating Bear set at the Mann Co. Store, it is not required to obtain the item set bonus.

To distinguish itself from the Chieftain's Challenge, the feathers have a different pattern, are much less broad, with much sharper tips, along with a different headband that includes feathers hanging off the ends. The Team Fortress 2 logo also appears different.

Trivia

  • In some Native American tribes, feathers were badges that were earned through deeds, whether it be for the good of the community or through battle. Those who had earned enough to make a full headdress were regarded with great honor.
