The Companion Cube Pin, also known as the Portal 2 Pin, is a miscellaneous item for all classes. It uses the same model as the Resurrection Associate Pin, depicting a team colored portal and a Weighted Companion Cube floating within, from the eponymous Valve game Template:W. The Pin will be given to those who pre-purchase Portal 2.[1]

  • A Vintage Companion Cube Pin was given to a play-tester of Portal 2 at PAX 2010, prior to the item's official release.[2] The item can be seen here.
  • Player Vulcnor, upon winning a charity auction for Child's Play, received a Unique version of the Pin.
  • The item's model name, p2_pin.mdl, and the items_game.txt reference name "Portal 2 Pin", indicate that the item may be released in connection with the Valve game Portal 2.
