The Sir Hootsalot is a community-created cosmetic item item for Sniper. It is a brown owl with glowing eyes that sits on the Sniper's shoulder.
Sir Hootsalot has two styles, "Wilderness" and "Snowy". Snowy colors the owl's feathers white.
When players equipped with this item kill an enemy unassisted by another player, the killfeed shows everyone in Pyroland that it gets the assist, with its custom name if it has one.
The Sir Hootsalot was contributed to the Steam Workshop under the name "Camper's Companion".
