- The item is modeled after the iconic hat worn by Jotaro Kujo, the primary protagonist of Stardust Crusaders, the third part of the acclaimed manga and anime series JoJo's Bizarre Adventure originally written by Hirohiko Araki. "Starboard" is the right side of a ship; the hat also resembles a sailor's cap.
