The Physician's Procedure Mask is a community-created miscellaneous item for the Medic, and was chosen by Valve to be released with the first wave of community-contributed content due to its outstanding quality. It appears as a slightly red-white or blue surgeon's mask with the Medic's logo on the front.
The mask description was written by AgentJAK for the Hat Describing Contest.

Update history
- Changed the Physician's Procedure Mask to be treated as a hat in crafting, allowing it to be used as an ingredient in the "Rebuild Headgear" crafting recipe.
Trivia
- Team Fortress Classic's original Medic model appears to be wearing a procedure mask.
- Procedure Masks are worn during any form of surgical procedure to prevent spreading infectious bacteria or viruses onto an open wound. It also prevents bodily fluids from splashing up into the mouth.
