The Hard Counter is a community-created headwear item for the Heavy, released with the Mann-Conomy Update. It appears as a team-colored umbrella hat with the Heavy's logo on it.

Trivia
- This hat's development name was "Überella" before Valve renamed it.[1]
- Umbrella hats are commonly worn by golfers, beachgoers, or other individuals who need to keep rain or sunlight off their faces while keeping both hands free.
- Despite the description, the Hard Counter offers no extra protection from Jarate.
- "Hard Counter" is a term used mostly in online gaming that describes one thing, such as a skill, weapon, or equipment, that completely counters another.
