The Big Country is a community-created headwear item for the Engineer. It removes the Engineer's default hardhat, replacing it with a long, blonde Template:W.
The Big Country has two styles, respectively named "Nelson" and "Brooks". The "Brooks" style places the default hardhat on top of the hair.
The Big Country was contributed to the Steam Workshop after release, by request of Valve.

- The styles reference the two Template:W superstars Template:W (known for his distinctive mullet) and Template:W (who often wears cowboy hats).
- This hat's name is a reference to the 1958 movie "The Big Country"
