The Fancy Fedora is a headwear item for the Spy. It is a team-colored, felt fedora that sits atop the Spy's balaclava.
The Fancy Fedora is one of the 9 retired hats; meaning it cannot be bought, uncratable as an unusual hat, dropped via the drop system or obtained as a craft result.

- Paint affects this hat's color more, colors are less washed out.
- This hat's painting texture was improved.
January 25, 2013 [Item schema update]
- This item was removed from the item drop system and Mann Co. Store, and can no longer be uncrated with Unusual quality or crafted. Crates with the possibility to get the hat are unboxed in normal quality. [1]
Notes
- The hat description was written by Kenori for the Hat Describing Contest and was slightly edited by Valve.
- This hat can be worn by Atlas and P-body in Portal 2's co-op mode.[1]
- The Fancy Fedora actually resembles a trilby more than it does a fedora. Fedoras have wider brims and were more popular in America, while the trilby was more popular in Europe, where the Spy originates.
