Trivia
- The Bonk Helm is a reference to a similar beverage-carrying headpiece commonly seen on sporting event spectators. This helmet is usually referred to as a "beverage hat," "beer hat," "foam dome," or "thirst aid hat."
- The design bears a resemblance to an earlier community-made hat replacement, which Robin Walker acknowledged prior to the release.
- Although in real-life the helmet is too stop baseballs hurting the wearers head, in TF2 however this does not stop the Sandman's baseball/bonk stun effect rendering its just for decoration (like all hats).
- This hat has indeed no effect to Bonk Atomic Punch.
