The Carouser's Capotain is a community-created headwear item for the Demoman. It is a tall, team colored Template:W - also known as a Witch Hunter hat - with a black colored band and the Demoman's old class icon on it, and a black design printed on the front of its rim.

September 30, 2010 Patch (Mann-Conomy Update)
- This hat was added to the game.
- The Carouser's Capotain model and textures were updated.
- The painting texture was also improved.
- [Undocumented] Carouser's Capotain was added to the Mann Co. Store.
Bugs
- This hat will appear black when running the game under DirectX 8.
Trivia
- The description is a reference to The Bible, Exodus 22:18, which is often translated as "Suffer not a witch to live", referring to the Template:Ws and their practice of executing those accused of witchcraft.
- The hat was submitted under the name "The Inquisitor" before Valve renamed it "Carouser's Capotain". Because of the changed name, the hat's textures are in the Demoman hat folder twice.
- Originally, this hat was much darker, and painting the hat affected the band color. The creator later updated this to make it less dark and changed the band to a fixed color.
- A carouser is a participant in a noisy, lively drinking party or one who engages in drinking plentiful amounts of alcohol.
