The [ classified ], commonly known as the Potato Hat, is a promotional headwear item for all classes. It is a white hard hat with a potato-powered miner's light with a team colored glow, connected by two orange wires with team colored connector insulation. The far side of the hat sports two pieces of grey electrical tape covering an unknown team colored circular logo. This hat is awarded to players who have bought the Potato Sack pack, or own all the games from the pack. It first became available with the April 5, 2011 Patch, and is still currently obtainable through the methods listed.
The games contained within the pack consist of 1... 2... 3... KICK IT! (Drop That Beat Like an Ugly Baby), AaaaaAAaaaAAAaaAAAAaAAAAA!!! – A Reckless Disregard for Gravity, Amnesia: The Dark Descent, AudioSurf, BIT.TRIP BEAT, Cogs, Defense Grid: The Awakening, Killing Floor, RUSH, Super Meat Boy, The Ball, The Wonderful End of the World, and Toki Tori.
Players who have played all the above games also receive the Resurrection Associate Pin.

Bugs
- The hat did not drop for all people who own the games in the Potato Sack immediately. An email from Robin Walker has confirmed the remaining hats will be dropped within the "next couple of days".[1].
Trivia
- This hat is a reference to the "Potato Clock"[2], a popular science fair project where a potato is used to power a clock or other electronic appliance.
- The games included in the Potato Sack pack contain potatoes and glyphs leading to one another, and are part of an ongoing Template:W.
- The hat's name of Potato is a reference to Portal 2, as evidenced by a marketing image found on the Steam website where the Portal 2 logo was written out with letters ommited. [3]
