The Troublemaker's Tossle Cap is a community-created headwear item for the Scout, released with the first wave of community-contributed content. It is a slightly baggy, team colored Template:W or beanie.

- This hat was added to the game.
- Updated the new community-built hats so they can be crafted.
September 30, 2010 Patch (Mann-Conomy Update)
- This hat was made paintable. Paint scheme added a painted stripe to the cap.
October 27, 2010 Patch (Scream Fortress Update)
- [Undocumented] The paint scheme for the Troublemaker's Tossle Cap was reversed so that the stripes are now the original color, and the rest of The Troublemaker's Tossle Cap's hue changes.
- The paint scheme of the Troublemaker's Tossle Cap was changed so that the cap is completely colored instead of striped.
Bugs
- When a Scout wearing the Troublemaker's Tossle Cap dies via a regular death, the hat disappears completely. When gibbed, the Scout's original hat can be found amongst the body pieces.
Trivia
- The beanie is sometimes associated with gang members and juvenile delinquents, most often in urban areas such as New York, Los Angeles, and the Scout's place of origin, Boston.
- This hat was submitted under the name "Rapper's Hat" before Valve renamed it. [1]
- The hat description is a reference to Straight Outta Compton, an album and song by hip-hop group N.W.A.
- It is commonly skepticized that the Troublemaker's Tossle Cap will recieve styles similar to that of the Gibus and Scotsmans Stove Pipe.
