The Heavy Duty Rag is an unlockable headwear item for the Heavy. It appears as a team-colored bandana or 'doo-rag' with the Team Fortress 2 logo as a pattern, which the Heavy has tied over the top of his shining bald pate. This item was released in the May 20, 2010 Patch under the second round of Contribute! content.

• Team Fortress Classic's 'Heavy Weapons Guy' wears a similar bandana.
• It was most likely named after the GI Joe character Heavy Duty, who is a heavy weaponry expert with a similar doo-rag.
• This hat was contributed by Sith Happens and tasteekakes.
• It could also be a reference to how gang members tie bandanas over their heads, making this hat the second headwear item made popular in pop culture with gangs (the Troublemaker's Tossle Cap being the first).
