• The Nanobalaclava is a reference to the Template:W, also known as balaclava helmet, a form of cloth headgear that covers the whole head, exposing only parts of the face, such as the one the Spy wears. The Nanobalaclava would seem to be a futuristic version using nanotechnology.
• There are files for every class to use this hat. This shows that it was intended for all classes, and not just Spy, but was scrapped.
